ERIKA BARILLARI DAVEL
born in Genoa (Italy) in 1973, she lived in Italy, Dubai, South Africa, Hong Kong and then she moved to London.
In 1991 she attended Matric at Paul Klee's High School and then, in 1993, she's got the professional qualification of Frescoes restoration and decoration technician (recognized by EU).
Since then she has developed different interests in art, strongly increasing her experience with different media types.
From 1994 to 2002 she managed her own company "O Scagno de Arti" producing: objects (frame,mirror,coffee table,bedside table etc.using different techniques), mosaic, trompe l'oeil, bas-relief, decorative cement floor, faux finishes, azulejos, restoration of fresco, floor with technique of opus incertum, border and skirting decorated, faux wallpaper, paint techniques.
She cooperated with the firm Gepco in 1994 then with La Bottega in 1996 and with the artist Alessandro Gambuzza from 1997 to 2002, travelling the whole Italy.
In 2002 she was asked to join other artist to work in Dubai (U.A.E) at Mercato Shopping Mall and be responsible for scenic painting of exterior and interior facades and shop fronts.
Then in 2003 she moved to South Africa and she participated to the competition of Ushaka Marine World in Durban, having the opportunity to work with Kobus De Beer.
In 2004 she been back in Dubai to work in IBN Battuta Shopping Mall and in the Mall of Emirates until 2005.
From 2006 until 2011 she lived in South Africa and showed her fascination for the African culture in her beautiful sepia oil paintings.
Most of her artwork is being 800x1000 or larger.
Her specialty is capturing faces expressions of African women.

All art works are original and one off.
In 2016 she moved to London where she lives today.
In 2011 she moved to Hong Kong where she lived for 4 years and half.
Through 2007 /2008 she has been in few magazine nationwide and local in South Africa ( Garden Route Living,George Herald,One)

Her paintings were exposed from 2007 to 2011 in Artifakt Gallery in Wilderness, in Art and Antique shop in Sandton, Johannesburg, in the Art Gallery of the Cameleon Village Hartebeespoort Dam, Pretoria and in P.W. Botha Airport, George, Western Cape, South Africa.
2013 she exhibited at Bank Art Fair ,Pub Art Gallery, Hong Kong
2013 she attended her first solo exhibition "Woman …is all about the eyes" at Pub Art Gallery, Hong Kong
